We invite you to the 7th Conference on Competition Law and Policy in memory of prof. Vedran Šoljan: New trends and (old) implementation challenges – are we ready for a new era ?, which will take place on May 12 and 13, at the Hotel Ambasador, in Opatija.
The conference is held in memory of Professor Vedran Šoljan (1962-2008), one of the founders of Croatian competition law. The conference traditionally provides a space for discussion of innovations in the field of competition law, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Southeast Europe (SEE).
This year, on the second day of the conference, a half-day parallel program “Training on compliance with competition law – what is allowed and what is not” will be held for the first time. Renowned Croatian lawyers in this field will hold this training, which will cover basic Croatian and EU regulations on the protection of competition (including abuse of power, cartels and other prohibited agreements, notification of concentrations, etc.).
The conference will provide a forum for discussion by competition law experts – government officials, judges, lawyers, corporate lawyers, legal advisers and other legal professionals from across Europe – on developments in EU competition law.
Outstanding speakers at the conference come from almost all relevant institutions and segments – including the OECD, the European Commission, universities, various industries and regulators from across the region and Europe.
